Exam is over, new plan

Playing games until late at night, the most annoying time for studying, the more games I play. Those things that I usually ignore become interesting when it comes to studying. What's even more interesting is that the enthusiasm for studying becomes even stronger after the exam. Well, it's all over now, just wait for the results. During this period, I will take a driving test and then relax. I will think about the next plan.

Exam Day Diary#

Let's start from the early morning. I played games until 2 am and thought to myself, "I can't continue playing, otherwise I won't be able to wake up and I'll just thank myself for participating in the exam."

Fortunately, after moving to this big city, the test center is only a half-hour drive from my home. I can wake up at 8 o'clock. It's been a long time since I woke up at 8 o'clock because of the flexible working hours. I usually sleep until 8:30 and go to the office. If I work from home, I sleep until 8:55. In the afternoon, I started yawning and even coffee didn't help.

There were about a hundred people at the test center I went to. When I received the test paper, I was full of questions. There were too many unfamiliar words. What is the application of the Doppler effect? What is handover? These are all knowledge that I don't understand. Moreover, there was only one "ドップラー" in the question stem, and I was really at a loss. However, the morning exam was all multiple-choice questions, so there was a 25% chance of guessing correctly. I changed two answers before handing in the paper. I roughly calculated that I could get half of them right, and then guess another 25%, so the accuracy rate would be 62.5%.

During lunch, I checked the answers that were posted online and found that I could pass.

However, the afternoon exam was a bit uncomfortable. Originally, because I didn't want to read long articles, I chose all technical questions. I didn't expect the algorithm questions to be so difficult. It took me forty minutes and I still couldn't solve one of them. I really didn't have time to think. I truly experienced what it means for the exam hall to be like a battlefield. I still had to consider the time for other questions. I heard the sound of someone handing in their paper and leaving their seat, as well as the time announcements from the invigilators, which made me even more annoyed and distracted.

The database was still manageable, but I didn't have time to do the system architecture. I quickly did the calculation questions and the embedded development should be okay. It would be better if I had a little more time.

To sum up, I did too few questions. I'm not used to the rhythm of exams at all.

The afternoon exam consisted of fill-in-the-blank and short answer questions, which are also difficult to estimate the score. It all depends on luck. But no matter how the results turn out, I plan to buy a Kindle Scribe on sale in July.

New Plan#

  1. Take a few days off and get my driver's license in May.
  2. Take care of my new home.
I really like the house I rented. It's a one-bedroom apartment, spacious enough but not too big to clean. And all the faucets in the house have temperature control systems, so the water temperature can be automatically adjusted. The water that comes out is always 40 degrees Celsius. I'm so touched.
  3. Look into buying a car.
I'm a complete beginner, and just thinking about all the things I need to learn makes it seem extremely troublesome. But I still have to do it. I made plans with my friends to go to the lake and amusement park together once I buy a car.
  4. Try out a few simple dishes and reduce eating out.

I hope to finish these tasks before the August vacation.
