Kindle Scribe User Experience

It's been a week since I received the Kindle Scribe. Before sharing my experience, let me first explain the version and price I purchased. I bought the 16GB + professional stylus bundle on Member's Day, with a 13% discount, costing 45,000 Japanese yen. I also received 5,000 points as part of a promotion, so the total came to around 40,000 Japanese yen, which is approximately 2,000 Chinese yuan. I also received three months of Kindle Unlimited as a bonus, which is a great deal.

Reading#

When holding it in my hand, it feels quite light, lighter than my iPad 2018. The large gap on the edge has been criticized by many, and indeed, dust easily gets stuck in there. But I don't really mind that.
Having been used to small screens, I initially found it overwhelming to see so much text on the screen, causing some reading pressure. However, after finishing a book in vertical format, I got used to it, and now both horizontal and vertical text are very comfortable to read. It's also suitable for reading comics, but since I don't read them much, I didn't choose a larger capacity.
This week, I read an original Japanese book, a book about minimalism, and a quarter of an autobiography. Having a larger screen really does improve reading speed.

Handwriting#

At first, I didn't think it was as good for writing as the iPad, but I gradually got used to it. Plus, the pen doesn't need to be charged, so it's convenient to use whenever I want. I like holding the pen while reading, making marks and jotting down my thoughts. That's enough for me.
There are still a few limitations with the notebook templates, and I'm not sure if custom templates are supported (probably not).
One thing I'm currently unsatisfied with is that when I tried to import a PDF version of a computer test paper via email, I was told that it couldn't be converted to Kindle format, so I couldn't take handwritten notes. Before purchasing, I did some research online and found that importing via email should allow note-taking. Later, I imported a PDF without charts and mathematical formulas, and it supported handwriting, so the issue seems to be with the content of the PDF. Is it not friendly towards STEM subjects?

Other#

I haven't noticed fast battery consumption, probably because the battery has also increased in size?
Additionally, the screen can automatically adjust brightness, just like a phone, based on the surrounding light.
Using it makes me feel very happy. It also seems to have motivated me to move towards a paperless direction, as I have already gotten rid of seven physical books. I will continue to declutter my stationery and planners in the future.

Finally, these are just my personal experiences, for reference only. If there are other aspects you would like to know about, feel free to comment and I will try to respond. I hope everyone has a pleasant reading experience.
